Description
UMS President Ken Fischer with pianist Vladimir Feltsman outside the Campus Inn in front of the Lincoln Town Car. He was the opening night soloist for the 1988 May Festival and was the first artist that Ken Fischer secured soon after taking over the Society. (The 1987-88 season was planned by his predecessor Gail Rector but May Festival was left to the new Executive to program.) Feltsman has recently emigrated to the US at this time and was getting a lot of attention. Ken considered it a "coup" to have him here.
